Wendy is a 1994 Veterinary graduate from Massey University New Zealand with a keen interest in small animal medicine and surgery. Her other passion from the outset was complementary therapies, which was the catalyst for the move to the UK in 1996 to train with the Homeopathic Professionals Teaching Group (HPTG), Oxford.
Wendy became a Veterinary Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 1999. Further study with the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists (ABVA) lead to a qualification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2004 further increasing the therapy options she could offer to the animals under her care. Wendy continues to study Homeopathy at a postgraduate level with the Aroga School of Homeopathy having just completed her second year.
Wendy has also been involved in teaching homeopathy to Veterinarians at the Glasgow School of Homeopathy and Veterinary Nurses at the College of Animal Welfare, Leeds. Wendy joined the team at the Towerwood Veterinary group in 1997, a practice that already welcomed an integrated approach to health. She sees both first opinion cases and also takes referrals in both acupuncture and homeopathy.
Outside of work Wendy has a passion for the outdoors having participated in rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking, but is currently restricted to her long time love of Yoga while she raises her young family.
