Medicine and surgery

We offer a complete conventional medicine and surgery facility to all our clients.

We have an in-house laboratory for routine blood testing (biochemistry and haematology), microscopy, and urine testing. This facility allows us to obtain rapid results so that the correct treatment can be started for your animal quickly and efficiently. It also enables us to offer routine pre-anaesthetic blood screens at a low cost to detect sub-clinical illness and thereby increase anaesthetic safety.

We are rigorous with our anaesthetic quality and safety, tailoring the routine to your animals needs. This includes a total commitment to good pain relief for animals, with every animal having a surgical procedure being given the highest quality pain relief.

We have our own x-ray suite and use the latest digital technology and an ultrasound machine, which once again allows us to get rapid diagnostic information.

Over 98% of all surgical procedures are carried out at the practice by our veterinary surgeons. In rare cases, however, other specialists may be required, and we have access to experts in all the specialities e.g. orthopaedic, neurology, ophthalmology, and oncology. We would not hesitate in setting up a referral for your animal if it were needed.

We have our own extensive dispensary that is restocked on a daily basis. The drug lines that we carry are selected on clinical efficacy and safety. We would not carry a drug line which we believe to be inferior simply because it is cheaper.
